About Us

The Toy Center has been a Richmond tradition since 1966.

I first shopped here as a mother of four boys but coming back to shop as a grandmother is what brought me full circle to this wonderful toy store. I bought The Toy Center in August of 2009.

  The Toy Center used to be known as a collectible shop: dolls and trains, miniature doll houses and hobbies. Now we are a specialty toy store focusing on all aspects of children's play. We have arts and crafts, dolls, dollhouses, pretend play, construction, cars and trucks, games, books and of course trains!

We are committed to play that encourages the child to think and interact. I am not only a mother of four boys and a grandmother, but also a pediatric nurse. Children have been my specialty for many years. Their development, education and safety is paramount in anything I do.
